Living in Oregon...it's really hard too pass up coffee. I think it comes out of our faucets here! Whenever I get a cup that is totally blank, I can't resist! I posted this yesterday on Instagram & FB, & got a lot of good reaction & a few requests to buy. This one still has a little of my dark roast in the bottom, so I don't think this one will be sold. ;) I'm going to look into producing a few of these this week. Might show up in the shop sometime soon. Stay tuned...
Where does this sketch come from? Well, try as we might, every day is not a winner. In fact some days we may just feel like this is just not working at all. I guess when I have those days I like to always think...well there will be a better tomorrow. When the morning comes we'll hop on our bike, let go of the handle bars, & sail over the first hill into whatever adventure lies ahead. And if you have a friend that will go along with you with that same enthusiasm & passion...well all the better. :)
There are lots of little Shore towns here in the Northwest. They hug the bays that lead out to the Pacific. You pass through them so quickly on the road you barely notice you were there. I like to stop now & then. It's good to slow down sometimes & take in their charm. :)
I posted this drawing on Instagram a couple days ago & remembered it was early in the morning when I sketched this out. Very quiet & tranquil...before the rest of the world catches up. I see groups of elk fairly frequently. Especially if I'm on the coast near dusk. Really beautiful animals if you get to see them up close. I guess that may be the reason they peak into my work here & there. Maybe I'll make a print of this one sometime soon. :)
