I’ve had a pencil in my hand for as long as I can remember. Back in school, I was the kid everyone asked to “draw this” or “sketch that”—and I happily did. I didn’t know it then, but those little doodles were the start of a lifelong adventure in art.

I eventually studied design, drawing, painting, and advertising in art school, earned my degree in Painting, and spent a few years in advertising and publishing before opening my own illustration studio. These days, most of my work comes from children’s book publishing (a dream come true!), but I love taking on other projects that spark my imagination too.

My subjects change from day to day—sometimes silly, sometimes sweet—but I always try to keep things simple, lighthearted, and full of joy. If my work brings you a smile, then I’ve done my job! My biggest inspirations come from the world around me, the stories in my head, and, of course, a good cup of coffee.
