Living in Oregon...it's really hard too pass up coffee. I think it comes out of our faucets here! Whenever I get a cup that is totally blank, I can't resist! I posted this yesterday on Instagram & FB, & got a lot of good reaction & a few requests to buy. This one still has a little of my dark roast in the bottom, so I don't think this one will be sold. ;) I'm going to look into producing a few of these this week. Might show up in the shop sometime soon. Stay tuned...
Where does this sketch come from? Well, try as we might, every day is not a winner. In fact some days we may just feel like this is just not working at all. I guess when I have those days I like to always think...well there will be a better tomorrow. When the morning comes we'll hop on our bike, let go of the handle bars, & sail over the first hill into whatever adventure lies ahead. And if you have a friend that will go along with you with that same enthusiasm & passion...well all the better. :)
There are lots of little Shore towns here in the Northwest. They hug the bays that lead out to the Pacific. You pass through them so quickly on the road you barely notice you were there. I like to stop now & then. It's good to slow down sometimes & take in their charm. :)
This is still a work in progress, but a sneak peek of what's happening. This a project I'm working on with PDX Parent Magazine right here in the PDX (Portland, OR). This is my sketch for a color piece that will appear in their summer issue. A lot of fun for me to work on since I live here & can share this with the home town folks. 😁 Once everything is complete, I'll have posters, etc...available in the shop. More on that later. Stay tuned...
Daily Sketch...for some reason, the backyard is an inviting subjec that I return to every so often. So much happens there! You can always count on at least one dog, a squirrel, & some kind of ball laying about. More backyard sketches to come...I'm sure. :)
