This is still a work in progress, but a sneak peek of what's happening. This a project I'm working on with PDX Parent Magazine right here in the PDX (Portland, OR). This is my sketch for a color piece that will appear in their summer issue. A lot of fun for me to work on since I live here & can share this with the home town folks. 😁 Once everything is complete, I'll have posters, etc...available in the shop. More on that later. Daily Sketch...for some reason, the backyard is an inviting subjec that I return to every so often. So much happens there! You can always count on at least one dog, a squirrel, & some kind of ball laying about. More backyard sketches to come...I'm sure. :)

I posted this drawing on Instagram a couple days ago & remembered it was early in the morning when I sketched this out. Very quiet & tranquil...before the rest of the world catches up. I see groups of elk fairly frequently. Especially if I'm on the coast near dusk. Really beautiful animals if you get to see them up close. I guess that may be the reason they peak into my work here & there. Maybe I'll make a print of this one sometime soon. :)
